RetCon have announced the next guest joining them for their 2017 convention. The next guest who attendees will be able to meet at RetCon 2017 is the one and only Simon Furman!
There are only a handful of individuals in the Transformers world who need no introduction, and Simon Furman is counted as one of them. The most prolific writer of Transformers fiction, Simon Furman began writing for Transformers with the Marvel UK comics and such legendary stories as Target: 2006 and Time Wars. When Bob Budiansky passed the torch on the US Marvel comics, Simon Furman was the man he passed it to, and we got several classic story arcs including End of the Road. Following the end of his run on Marvel comics, Simon returned to Transformers to write the 12 issues Transformers Generation 2 comic, and he would later go on to pen the finale of Beast Wars, several series for Dreamwave including the War Within, and then would lay the foundations of IDW’s Transformers comic universe before returning to the continuity where it all began with Transformers Regeneration 1. He is currently involved in writing bios and other story elements for Space Ape’s Transformers Earth Wars game.
RetCon 2017 is Sweden’s newest Transformers convention, and will take place on 29 April 2017 in Helsingborg, Sweden. Guests will be able to meet Simon Furman in addition to his fellow writer Nick Roche, along with the convention artist Thomas Sjöström.
